There are three categories, or three reasons, why they might say no to your coaching program, product, mastermind group, or similar offerings. It doesn’t matter what people say to you; they will verbalize it in different language and tonality, but it usually comes down to three areas.
One is time: Do they feel like they have the time to commit to this program? How much time during the week do they need to spend? Almost everyone says they’re too busy, so they worry about their own time commitment.
The second one is energy: How much energy do they need to put into this? This isn’t about time; it’s about their physical and mental energy, their resourcefulness. Do they have the energy to do your program or follow your process?
Thirdly, it’s about money: Do they have the money to commit? Do they have the money to commit on a continual basis? Will it bring them money in return? There’s an outgoing and an incoming flow of money to consider.
So, make sure that when you’re talking to people, you cover these three areas. Let them know how much time they’ll need to allocate, how much energy they’ll need to put in, and how much it will cost in terms of both outgoing and incoming money.
If you chat with your potential clients about these three areas, it will calm them down, and they’re more likely to say yes rather than no.
