Today, it’s time to talk about stopping being comfortable.
Yes, you get into your little comfort zone; it’s like a warm blanket, and you stay there, wondering why you’re not making the money you want, why you’re not getting the clients you want, and why you haven’t got the life you want.
Let’s go over a few things to help you stop being comfortable and move forward in your life and business.
Firstly, you need to acknowledge that what you’re doing now is getting the result you have now.
You may have done very well in your business initially, earning five figures or six figures, but you’re not reaching six or seven figures.
You need to change up what you’re doing.
What you’ve done has produced these results, and it may have served you well until now, but now you want to take it up a notch. You want to move forward into earning more money or getting new clients.
So first, ask yourself, “Okay, what am I doing now that’s getting me this result?”
Secondly, once you’ve done that, say, “Okay, I’m going to do something different.” What got you here is not what’s going to get you to the next step.
If you’re earning six figures and want to reach seven figures, what worked at six figures won’t get you to seven figures.
Consider what else you can do that is different and what you need to change to move forward.
Once you identify that, thirdly, be disciplined in these changes.
It will be really easy to default back to what you feel comfortable doing.
You might think, “Oh, I tried that, and it didn’t work.”
But ask yourself: Did you do it consistently and persistently over a period of time?
Usually, people will try something for a few days or even a couple of weeks and say, “That didn’t work; I’m out,” and go back to their comfort zone, which yields the results they already had.
Make sure you’re disciplined in your changes and moving forward.
If you follow these three steps, you will get uncomfortable, and you will move forward.
Get excited about being uncomfortable; don’t be fearful of it.
– One: Acknowledge what you’re doing now.
– Two: Decide what you’re going to do differently.
– Three: Be disciplined in those changes moving forward.
